Callum Cooper: Sculpture for the Moving Image

London/Melbourne-based artist and filmmaker Callum Cooper creates bizarre sculptures with embedded cameras meant to capture video from pretty astounding angles. His Full Circle piece creates the illusion of a jumprope that shifts space and time on every jump.

Alvaro Sanchez-Montañes

Alvaro Sanchez-Montañes is a photographer born and raised in Madrid where he lived until completing his University studies. He loves the wide-angle lens and beautiful landscapes. In his portfolio there are hardly any people that meet the spectator’s gaze directly; Sanchez-Montañes rather uses the power of addressing the subject indirectly; like people that are in motion, which turn away or refer to something else. His images of landscapes are filled with life by the movement of clouds and wind or by dynamic elements.

Ondermeer bekend voor zijn designs voor Freshcotton en Revert. Zijn herkenbare designs blijven eindeloos vermaken tot de trilling je huig begint te raken en je ligt te braken van het lachen. Met de meest voor de hand liggende huisartikelen en godscheppingen kan hij recht toe recht aan ontwerpen en kunstwerken maken.

Ook deze exposant zal tijdens de opening van Galerie Roest met een likje verf, voor god spelen en zijn eigen godscheppingen te aarde brengen in de onderwereld genaamd Amsterdam Roest.
